Love this album. Some of their best songs and playin. I am some one who actually likes their studio albums. You get to here what they really wanted the songs to sound like.

This is one of the Grateful Dead's best albums because everyone is at the top of their game here. Jerry had never sounded better voicewise, the band's playing is outstanding. You have rockers U.S Blues, Loose Lucy, Scarlet Begonias, and Money Money. You have one of Jerry's best ballads- China Doll, one of my favorites on the album is Phil Lesh's "Unbroken Chain", the country rock "Pride Of Cucamonga" which is also sung by Phil Lesh. And a slower song with Jerry singing "Ship Of Fools". This is why "From The Mars Hotel" is one of the Dead's most consistant and strong albums.
