So much fun to hear them play Acoustic guitars. I love this album. An enjoyable mix of classic Americana music.

Lucky to have been at Radio City back in 1980. Went down scalped a ticket for face value and saw one of the best concerts Great electric set unbelievable acoustic set. Saw the Dead many times great out door band (Watkins glen). But this was the best show for me.
  • Phenomenal live album

If not the best live album the Dead did, it is certainly right up there in the top 3: they sound great, extremely tight and clean, incredible energy; each of them was clearly feeding off the excellent performances of the rest of the band. Sound quality is superb in every respect. Enjoy, this album is a gem.

From start to finish, the soul of this bluegrass effort by the dead take you to another time and place. Sit back. Relax. And, get lost in the music.

Man, I wish they would have done more acoustic sets at their shows or put out a few more acoustic albums. Since they didn't this cd is even more special..... I love it!!

Pt1 actually, however the acoustic part...I bought this on vinyl at a time when i thought the dead were fading. However- i liked it then an recently dusted off the vinyl. Now i am going to download this. Its a nice departure from some of their more mondane 80s stuff and catches their seventies spirit perfectly...

Seems like a new way to make more cash. I was buying the expanded edition didn't have enough cash so bought couple songs and now I can not complete this album under the new format for dead stuff here on iTunes not cool. And what's up with the sound quality on some of the live shows. This album is awesome one of the best albums the dead have come out with. But I am truly not happy with the way this was done at least allow the folks who had begun to buy the expanded version a chance to complete it!

One of the best Dead releases. An incredible performance. They're at their peak here in technical skill with vocals and instruments.
  • A must own!
