Missed the Boat

I thought it was the Walter the Robot video that won their competition. Go search for it on youtube, I prefer it over this video; It seems to fit the mood of the better in my opinon. Modest Mouse is awesome! I saw them live last night at Stubb's and they were amazing. I would have really liked to have heard this song though...

Where is the video Little Motel? Where is it!? I love the video Little Motel. It's really really sad though. But I do like this one a lot too, but click yes if you want to have "little motel" and you like this video.

Truth be told, this is a sickening song because of the fact that the radio got their hands on it. It's also just not Modest Mouse in the classic sense... It's even a misfit on the album it rode in on. It's interesting, and it's a nice little ride to take, but it's nowhere near the level it should have been on. The music video is no different. "Float On," "The Ocean Breathes Salty," and even "Dashboard" were worthy additions to the songs they came with. They were all somewhat intellectual in their poppiness, and extremely enjoyable. That being said, I suppose the song and video match each other in quality: they're both crowd pleasers, and sickeningly so. I hate to say it, but this is one of the worst music videos I've ever seen, and perhaps the biggest disappointment to come from Modest Mouse.

It's called a bass... it was the original bass, then the bass guitar came from it.

Awesomely cool. Plus a one of the guy's is playing a chelo(not correct spelling, but you know its a bass guitar that stands up)

Like the title says, this is pure modest mouse showing. The video is funny and strange at the same time. Good strange like the alternative band is famous for. The song just makes it better. A slower song that lets the vocals belt and fill the video with a cool beat. It's a must buy for anyone a fan of Modest Mouse or anyone trying to like them.
