The title track is beautiful but... it's a bit long. duh. I love the DJ Dynomite remix. If you want to get a condensed feel of what the song is like grab that one. I love the keyboards and all the new instrumentation and it has one of those killer moments where everything stops and the drums kick in. Chills, man. However, you don't get much of the original instrumentation on the remixes though, so if you want to hear the actual sound of band members other than Isaac and John I would recommend buying the original version. *On amazonmp3 for 99 cents. iTUNES RIPS YOU OFF HERE.* :) This is also at the peak of Modest Mouse's 'let's-jam-on-for-ten-minutes-because-we-can' phase, so if that's your kind of thing (I happen to like it, despite my sarcasm) definitely get this one. If you like instrumental jams that go on forever I would recommend checking out Spitting Venom from We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, Edit The Sad Parts from Interstate 8 (if you can find it), Trucker's Atlas from The Lonesome Crowded West or The Stars Are Projectors from The Moon And Antarctica. But if you're here you've probably most of these already. Note to people talking about a physical release - the vinyl version can be had for under $20 online if you know where to look. And it has cool pictures of the band members on the back. And you can get a close up look at the front, which apparently has someone on it with no head.
  • Great Song, but a ripoff at $10

Awesome ambient rock sound, a great mix of both 764-Heros sound and Mo Mouse's. That being said, do yourself a favor and buy this somewhere that it's more equitably priced.

I bought the CD version (released by suicide squeeze; the vinyl was co-released by suicide squeeze and Up) at a local record shop...for around 8 bucks *new*. As Alexander says, it's the sort of thing you gotta hold in your hand to appreciate.

The purpose of this music is the collaboration between artists. It was available originally on vinyl at MM shows in the late 90s. Owning a copy would be considered owning a collector's item. When it came time to digitize the cataloge, the objective was to be thorough. The enchanting value of the record is lost in its translation from vinyl rarity to awkward iTunes album. To appreciate this record would be to own it in hand.

but why is this album $10? I bought it at 3.99, and this price for just one song and two remixes is just plain unfair.
