    While some of the negative criticism is true. The review entitled "another cash cow" can lick my taint! Any individual who rates Dylan that low must enjoy the work of the eagles.

    The original Self Portrait's main fault--though it seems that no one has recognized this--was not that it was unlike previous Dylan albums. Its fault was that it was too unfocussed to seem like an artistic statement, and ultimately, it just seemed bewildering. And this second Self-Portrait collection is worse.

("Self Portrait" was savagely dismissed when it came out; As was "Dylan"; Another "Covers" Project)-"New Morning" was received quite warmly; And that disc remains a personal favorite!-Now new converts to Dylan; On these takes he really does SING!-(One pundit offered @1970 that this LP was Bob's "Homage To The King"{Elvis Presley})-Bob digs a little deeper into the well of American/British/Celtic Traditional Songs here; Sounding at times like Leadbelly or Bing Crosby! (These were happy; bucolic; Fatherly & Non-Smoking Years for Bob; And it shows!)-Dig these newly discovered tracks; And Much Praise to Al Kooper & David Bromberg; Who were there and know Bob's exacting work habits in the recording studio!…by Grimmbo.
