Love and Theft is the album to pick if you are only going to get one written and released in the last 30 years. This album jams, swings, rocks and pulls at the heartstrings all in a perfectly ordered ebb and flow of musical genius. And yes -- seeing these songs performed live with the band if the early 2000s was a sight to see. Most energetic and upbeat Dylan shows I have seen with the band all on point and Bob keeping to the form of the songs as they were created. Get this album if you want to hear Bob at his grizzled best telling stories of love, loss and grinding your way through modern life.

Full bodied, bluesy, heavy... this album does not let go. The more I listen to it the more things I find in it that just blow me away. The musicianship is unparalleled, the sound just right. I only wish it had more tracks. Can only imagine what it would be to see these songs performed live. This music transports you to a different place. It's simply beautiful.
  • This is a perfect record.
