I'm only 12, and I LOVE Jackson Browne. He is sooo amazing on acoustics, and his voice is so pure and raw... he's just a legend.
  • A nice compliment to the first volume

If you liked vol. 1 you'll like this set too. I do think the song set of the first one was better though in terms of benefitting from the acoustic soloing. I liked the inbetween comments on the first record too. However, a good song is a good song, and there's a lot of good songs present here!

Jackson at his most personal, soulful best. Even more intimate than being at his concert, in some ways. Love his intro between songs. Can't stop listening!

I first heard Jackson Browne in 1973 at 17 years old the year I graduated from high school in Tacoma Washington. I have been captivated ever since. I have been lucky enough to see him perform three times, once in Seattle, with the Saturate Before Using tour and just before the release of Late for the Sky. I think it cost less than $5.00 and a portion of the proceeds went to stopping the spread of Nukes. He played for two hours or more and I, already a fan was sold for life. I own everything he has released and believe him to be a simply a musical and lyrical genius. My three children ages 21, 19 and 12 all love his music. The release of these two Solo Acoustic efforts proves that he continues to improve with age. Spend your money on these solo acoustic efforts and you will not be disappointed. I listen to him daily and over the past 36 years have never grown tired of listening to him. I hope others will agree. GENIUS!
  • I gave this 4 stars at first...

but only because I loved Vol 1 so much. This is still a must-have for any JB fan. The songs are classic Jackson, and what makes both Vols 1 and 2 extra special are the intros, full of JB's humor and memories. Awww...what the heck...I'm changing this to 5 stars...how can I not? Sky Blue and Black alone would be worth every star there is.

This is true, intimate, Jackson. Ths is really what it is like to see him live, in concert. I have loved Jackson since I was a child, my mom used to take me to his shows, and I am so grateful for those times! Thanks for a great, honest album. I hope there is a volume 3 in the works.

I have been a Jackson Browne fan for over 30 years. It is as fresh today as it was sitting in California listening to him for the very first time. Do you folks remeber the first time you heard "Something FIne". Nice, Nice, Nice

Although this second of two solo sets comes as a bit of a surprise, what is more surprising is how enjoyable it is. I would have thought he exhausted his set list on the first solo record but after listening to this a number of times I would not be surprised if he could pull off a third. Great song choices and acoustic versions of songs I never would have thought would fit in this medium. Keep it up Jackson!!! Don Short
