Reviews

  • The best acoustic Dylan performance.

As far a live acoustic performances go, this is dylan's best. This performance has it all. But I would recommend buying the cd instead. Here you lose all of the things Dylan says in between each song. All the songs are great but Gates of Eden and it's alright ma are the standouts. Great album. Get it on cd though...
  • amazing album but bad part on itunes

The album is great and a must for any dylan fan. But itunes cut out the parts inbetween the songs where dylan talks to and jokes with the crowd. It makes everything more personal and intimate because that is what you expect on a live album. Which the itunes version lacks because it is missing. So i would suggest downloading it elsewhere, but you must get it :)
  • They cut parts of it!

What a great album, but this version cut out a few of the best parts between the songs. Dylan bantering and giving little intros that were very endearing and funny. They were included in the original one that I downloaded here, but since when it upgraded to 'itunes plus' I lost those. Now that older version isn't even on here. Come on Apple, give us the whole concert uncut, you're charging enough for it.

What I would not give to have a time machine to go back and see this concert. In my opinion, Bob Dylan at his best. Great, great album, my favorites being: If You Gotta Go, Go Now (Or Else You've Got To Stay All Night), I Don't Believe You (She Acts Like We Never Have Met), and All I Really Want to Do.

This is another example of Columbia records having their heads on straight when it comes to this Dylan Bootleg series. Keep 'em coming!

This live recording captures facets of Dylan's personality that have been hidden since fame and obnoxious people have forced him to be aloof and unapproachable: humorous and curious (about what makes us tick). Just-the-guitar allows one to focus on what makes him a great songwriter: melody and words. Too bad we've lost the patience (or is the disease worse than that) to be good listeners.
