Want something different in your Christmas Library? Check out this a delightful & surprising song. Seems like an odd song to find on a Monkeey's album. I believe they sung it at the end of one of their shows. How nice to see that it didn't get lost in time. Rúi Chui are pretend words/sounds of the nightingale. This is a Spanish Christmas Carol sung acappella and it's just a beautiful.

However... I wonder if iTunes realizes that the preview they are playing when you click on "Circle Sky" is not of "Circle Sky", but of the song "You and I", which is sung by Davy Jones not Michael Nesmith, and is not supposed to appear on this album. Nice try iTunes, but I would say you'd be better off buying the CD if that is what they are trying to pass off as the Missing Links album!
  • Be Warned - Some of the versions are the "official album" versions - see examples below.

Yes, this is a great collection of unissued (at the time) Monkees tunes. BUT be forwarned....this Itunes version replaces the Fast Version of "I Wanna Be Free" with the one found (slow version) on the debut album "The Monkees". Another example is "You May Just May Be The One" -- the one Itunes offers here is the one off of "Headquarters". Same goes with "Hold On Girl" -- version here is from "More of The Monkees". Please check out the samples before you buy. As for the other tracks, they all seem to be correct. BTW, the other collections appear to have the appropriate mixes/versions on those. If you'd like the versions that were on this collection that were replaced...go no further than "The Monkees Deluxe Version", "More of The Monkees Deluxe Version", "Headquarters Deluxe Version" or "The Monkees Music Box (Box Set)". All and all except for the replacements I'd give it a 5 Star.

I love this cd and feel it is the best of the whole missing links series. Alot of Nesmith tunes on here and alot of really great songs. There are some repeats of songs, either remakes or early versions, but those songs aside a really great cd to own if you are a monkees fan! If you are not a monkees fan i suggest the following songs only: 1, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 19
