    Does anyone realize the woman singing the role of Nellie was the voice of Belle in Beauty and the Beast? She's pretty good.

    This is a decent recording, a considerable improvement on the earlier versions. But the GOLD STANDARD of "South Pacific" Recordings is the one from the London cast from the (Royal) National Theater circa 2001, featuring Lauren Kennedy. Too bad ITunes does not offer this must-have recording. And don't even think about purchasing the recording featuring Reba McIntyre (Carnegie Hall). You don't cast a 50 something country singer as a role of a 19 year old Navy Nurse from Arkansas.

    Big disappointment - this does not have anything to do with the original soundtrack - don't waste your time you will not recognize any of the voices ... only the music.
