I have completely fallen in love with this music. My highschool marching band did the music from this show this season, and we totally nailed it. I love everything about the music, especially happy talk! I really hope you fall in love with it too.

This is what they mean when talk about the Golden Age of Broadway -- an era that is, sadly, long gone. A superb score, full of feeling and power, performed by real stars, Mary Martin and Ezio Pinza. In a standout supporting role, Juanita Hall is a "Bloody Mary" for the ages. There's simply never been a better version than this original cast album. It's the very definition of a classic.

This was an amazing album when it was first issued and it is even more amazing now. The music and lyrics are beyond anything we've heard for a very long time and the book itself was obviously ground-breaking, but what makes the album most special are the artists themselves. I'd fogotton how incredible Mary Martin was and how perfect her diction and Ezio Pinza stands alone. The cast was enourmously gifted as well and when you put that all into a package with the most beautiful and romantic music on earth you just can't go wrong!

This is the original with Mary Martin, Ezio Pinza and the original cast. Amazing soundtrack. I remember getting my Dad's old 10" bound LP's from this show and playing them on my "Victrola" as a kid - 'cept these don't have the "snap, crackle, pop" of my old phonegraph tonearm weighted with a penny. If you are looking for a "classic" - you found it. This sountrack is as timeless as the music and songs it captures. Buy it - you won't regret it.

This is some of best music ever. It's a very romantic show, and Some Enchanted Evening is the sweetest song you'll ever hear. This is a highly recommended musical with fabulous music. Some of it is really funny, but it's all really, really romantic and sweet. We did this play at our school and I've loved it ever since.
