"It's My Own Fault" is one of the best performances of the blues I have ever heard. It reminds me of the old Maxell poster. Just blows your hair clean off! WOW! The rest of the album is a great "JAM" by one of the GIANTS that once roamed the Earth. If you like this check out "LIVE in Sweden 1987". Thx
  • Truly one of the best live recordings

... ever made. This rendition of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" jacks my blood pressure up every time and I've been listening to it periodically since 1972. Oh, and Bobby Caldwell was off the hook on this album. The band's musicianship and energy on "Live And" is special. Ten stars. The best six bucks you will EVER spend.

One of the best live albums ever. Great guitar work between Johnny & Rick, they rival Duane Allman & Dickie Betts, wish iTunes would get they're studio album titled Johnny Winter And.
  • Listen to it loud enough and you might see God.

This is a must listen, must own, if you consider yourself a fan of music of the era, blues rock, hard rock and guitar rock. The audio isn't the best but the power and soul of the music leaps through the speakers and gives you a punch in the undies. R O C K & R O L L.

I saw Johnny Winter And in 1971 when they played the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO, and it was staggeringly, jaw-droppingly amazing. This album is like stepping into the Way Back Machine and being transported to that night, that rare musical moment in time and space. Guitar wizardry in the truest sense of the phrase abounds throughout this album, Johnny and Rick Derringer were a hell of a guitar-slinging duo. I am motivated to write this humble tribute to a true Guitar Genius after hearing the news that Johnny passed away yesterday, July 16, 2014. Talent like that does not get handed out very often. If you care about rock and roll guitar, buy this album now.

live albums ever, not only in terms of the playing but the recording quality as well, especially given the time. The interplay between Winter & Derringer is brilliant; they were truly in sync with each other. Tight ensemble playing caps off a great album.

Absolutely the greatest work from an artist sadly forgotten in the age of Lady GaGa. However, the r'r medley should be available. Closing us out on a 6:44 cut? C'mon ITunes. Do the right thing.

When I heard this album in 1972, it hit really hard and i was introduced to Johnny Winter. I agree the album still hits hard today as it did then. I saw johnny at least twice a year live in Chicago for years and it was a thing to see, loud , rough, and rowdy as hell. Between the fights in the audience was the music. Its got energy just like Edgars Roadwork Live!! Truley, one of Johnny's best. You feel like your right there in the Arogon Ballroom when you listen to this.....

This record got me into the blues. Listen to Johnny and Rick playing at the same time and the scorching licks. The rhythum section is tight, and holds the groove. I played my first album out in a few weeks and had to get another one. Drove my parents crazy.
