Billy Joel created some great music and had a great band in the 1970s and early '80s. Drummer Liberty Devitto is the only one left by this point and he's turned way down in the mix. BJ is at his cheesy and drunk worst. Skip this and crank up "Songs in the Attic" instead.

I was actually at this concert on New Year's Eve 1999. Billy did a phenomenal job - what an experience! I have the CD and love listening to it to experience the magic of that night again. A great entertainer, songwriter, and singer. If you like real music - the kind that has rhythm, melody, and meaningful lyrics, don't miss it!
  • Great CD for people who enjoy REAL music.

I agree, iTunes is really sticking it to one of the greatest pop artists of all time. Of course 30 years after his debut his voice might "stretch mighty thin," i doubt any artist can go that long and still be able to perform perfectly. The bottom line is this, dont listen to the idiots who wrote the iTunes review, this is a great CD of some of his most popular and most beautiful songs. Its a great addition to any collection. Dont waste your time on current CDs with "artists" such as Lil Wayne or AKON. Instead, enjoy this blast from the past CD that will offer what todays artists cant, real music.

WOW!! Billy Joel may be getting along in age, but his performance and sound is still unparalleled. I am greatly impressed by this live album. Yes, most times he does a little ad lib. on songs, but that is easily surpassable. He still has a lot of enthusiasm, which makes it all the more worthwhile to buy this album. You will not be sorry you bought this!
