Have you ever just listened to an album and love every last minute of it, but you have no idea why. This is one of those albums to me. For example, I can list off every reason why Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffiti" is my favorite album, but I can't even give one for why I like this album so much. I am not even a big '80s music guy. I generally regard the decade as a throwaway decade in music. The point is that I really like this album a lot, I can't tell you why I like it so much, and the fact that I can't explain it drives me up a tree.

There are four good songs, "We Didn't Start..." Ain't one one of them. "And So It Goes" is possibly his greatest song, musically and lyrically.

This is my favorite LP of Billy Joel. I missed out of the hits in the seventies because of my age, but I like them too. Videos were matched to many songs on this LP. My favorite hits - "I Go to Extremes" and the beautiful ballad "And so it goes". Good energy and vocals on this LP.

Billy Joel's love song to all of you is "And So It Goes." For decades he has put himself out there for you to love or hate, remember or forget, but in all of the relationships that you have with all of your favorite artists, when has one ever so poignantly given you something as tender and dear as "And So It Goes"? In the great debate of who are the greatest American singer/songwriters of the past 40 years, Billy Joel has long earned a spot with James Taylor, Carol King, Paul Simon, Aimee Mann, Dan Fogelberg, Don Henley, Bruce Springsteen and Willie Nelson among others. Storm Front is simply another chapter in the Joel anthology, each song a different character, each one different from the next. But mostly there's something to love in an artist who can lay himself bare as devastaingly sweet with "And So It Goes," our very own love song.

All I have to say is, to anyone who thinks Billy isn't a terrific lyricist, listen to "And so it Goes." Hands down the best lyrics I have ever heard in a song.
