I loved Harry when he was alive. Was so sad when he died in an auto accident on the Long island Parkway. He just tells the best stories and puts them to songs(Taxi). His family tours around with a tribute concert and if they come to your area, please go see it. His brothers, parents, kids, nephews, neices and usually his original band show up. Its a songfest and the audience becomes part of the show. They do still raise money for his passion which was world hunger so do contribute.

I saw Harry Chapin perform a 4 hour concert (two sets 2 hr's each) at Hoch Auditorium (sold out) on the University of Kansas campus (I believe it was 1978 or '79). During the intermission - he signed autographs in the foyer entrance... the best concert I have every seen or heard... Later, I discovered that many of his concerts were benefits to raise money for the many charities he supported... Mr. Chapin we miss you...you were a great man. Oh if a man tried To take his time on Earth And prove before he died What one man's life could be worth I wonder what would happen to this world

Harry sure was a great song writer. He really knew how to tell a story. I love his songs. To bad he died so young. We will always remember and miss him.

Harry Chapin's songs and stories are truly a lasting treasure. I also had the honor of knowing him for a while. He was a great man, father, husand, friens, and humanitarian. After almost 30 years, I am still realizing who he was and what he accomplished for this world. His work to help solve world hunger was incredible, and that work has lasted and affected countless people, who are following in his footsteps. God Bless You, Harry. We miss you so much and we love you, forever. GB

Classic hits here, five of his best. However, Rhino Records and iTunes, track 5 is "I Want To LEARN A Love Song,' not lean. Saw that and wondered if Harry was standing against a light pole at the time...

It's not the version of WOLD that is available on other stuff. I was hoping for the version I remembered and I bought before listening because it's such a good deal. Well, now I'll have two versions of WOLD. Oh well, the rest is great stuff!
