On July 16, 1981 I was at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY awaiting the Harry Chapin concert that did not occur because of his untimely death in a car crash on the LIE. This album captures the essence of a Harry Chapin concert from that era.

I truly miss Harry! Every summer we could count on Harry stopping through town and entertaining us with his wonderful song writing and musicianship. A large group of my friends and I would attend his concert and would be throughly entertained. You could always count on Harry sticking around after the show to sign autographs and talk to his many fans. Harry would stay till every fan was gone. Harry was a huge advocate for Feeding the Hungry and most of the proceeds from his concerts went to feed the hungry around the world. The day he died several of my friends gathered in the park and reminisced and listened to his music.. it was a very sad day. Harry was a GREAT man and he will be forever missed! Summers were never the same after his loss. This collection is a must for any Chapin fan. Bottom Line… BUY IT!
