this song is TOTALLY about football, and how it's "every schoolboys dream" to be a pro football player...the line "you're celtic, united but baby I've decided you're the best team I've ever seen" is about his two favorite teams, glasgow celtic of scotland, and manchester united of england...in the book "celtic united" he explains the meaning of the song to be about how he loves glasgow celtic and manchester united...rod was almost a professional football player, thank god he didn't go that route...
