Sure, I love their old sounds of Crazy For You. But this Fade Away EP is a mind blowing preview of their evolution (albeit a slow one like a slug). Highly polished but still retains the raw flavors of Bethany and Bobb - it's still surf inspired, simple, and DIY.
In my opinion, this EP is a tease of how strong their next album will be. I'm hoping for more 'tempo-changing-heartfelt' songs like "I Don't Know How". I Can't wait to hear their next album!!

This is definitely different then their older stuff. I think It's great that they're trying new stuff, but I'm just not into this. I really miss the Lo-Fi, grunge rock feel of "Crazy for You" and some of thier older EP's. This stuff to me just sounds really poppy.

Everything about this album feels borrowed. I love Best Coast, but this legitimately makes me sad. The sun-bleached, carefree tone has been replaced by moody Taylor Swift twang and Paramore’s throbbing power chords. I truly hope Best Coast goes in a different direction from this.
