This is an excellent song from Jack White. He is definitely channeling Robert Plant and Zepplin, but he does it in a way that shows the best of that particular influence, and simultaneously, he makes the song his own, putting his own signature on it. Very well done.

Anybody that thinks that this is bad, take a freaking reality trip if you still don't like it DON'T BUY IT Jesus it's that simple. But in my opinion, this is the absolute top musical genius there is. Jack White ranks up in the top, where he belongs right alongside The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Queen. Face it.

Jack White made an excellent cover of U2's Love Is Blindness. His guitar playing made it better than the original song. It is amazing!!!!!!!

I'm the type of person whose iPod goes from Lil Wayne to Amy winehouse and this is simply another amazing piece of music to add to my collection

In addition to being a tremendous and creative songwriter, Jack White has also carved out a real niche in creating outstanding cover tunes; and Love is Blindness is clearly no exception. In this effort, the opening drum beat and organ chords (which seem to echo hauntingly through the halls of a large and empty room) quickly establish the emptiness and sorrow of love (which he gladly shouts "I'm so sick of it"). The chaos and hurt are reflected in the guitar solo, which wonderfully screeches out the pain of love. The song builds to an emotional climax and fades acoustically as "I'm too numb to feel. Blow out the candle". Jack White does exactly what music was originally intended to do in Love is Blindness - communicate to us through our ears, hearts, minds and emotions. Mr. White's rendition of U2's song is one of those rare exceptions where a cover is better than the original - and Jack White, yet again, has outdone himself.

Love is Blindness is great. Go back and listen to the U2 version after this... It's like Mr white wrapped bacon around what I had considered a great tune (now its "pretty good")
  • Good but not mind-blowing, you know?

I think "Sixteen Saltines" sounds pretty good. I don't really know what to say about "Love is Blindness" other than swoozy awesomeness. BTW, isn't a single supposed to have one song on a album? There's two listed :/
