I've loved Leonard Cohen since the 70's. In between all the Joni Mitchell, U2, Dead, English Beat, CSN&Y & Funk, sometimes you just need some Leonard Cohen. To sooth what ails you. To punch you in the heart so you can bleed out the rest of that pain, to just remind you that life is what you make it. This album offers every song up for you to treasure. We're losing more of these great ones every year. RIP Mr. Cohen.

I've got this on vinyl but had to get it here so I could listen to it in the car. Beautiful album. A true musician.

I picked this CD up from the library mainly because I had never picked up a Leonard Cohen CD. Downloaded it into my Itunes in 2010. Since then I keep coming back to it. I remember painting my basement walls listening to In My Secret Life and thinking "my god, how did I manage to ignore this talented man for so many years". Can't remember the last time I played an album three times in a row .......in fact never. But, with the project I was doing it was perfect and I just wanted to here it again. My wife and I recently had friends over for wine and spaghetti.....I put this on my Bose with the Ipod. Another convert to Leonard Cohen was born. Cohen is a wonderful poet and the arrangements are fantastic. Pay for the download. He's earned it.
