A lot of people don’t want bands to grow and progress. But it’s inevitable. They aren’t the same people they were 20 years ago (or 30 you boneheads). I really think this album hits a lot of great notes (no pun intended). definitely pop and amazing. Probably my favorite of the “pop era”.

I’m a longtime fan of the goo, they are probably my favorite musicians. My favorite albums have consistently been from a couple decades ago: gutterflower, let love in, dizzy up the girl.
That said, this album is right up there with those legends. I love the shift they took with miracle pill and this builds on that. The sound, the lyrics are great; this new one is masterful. It deals with trauma and healing, and it feels like they are in a good place.
“Memories will chase you down, catch you in another town. How’s it feel to feel the same?”
Solid gold.
