  • He Is Simply The Best

You can certainly say what you wish about Jeff Beck, his career, and the vocalists he has performed with along the way. What you cannot deny however, is that Jeff Beck has done it his way. Why else would arguably the greatest guitarist ever, decide to forego the chance to make popular music (and the monetary gain that comes with that) in order to make the music that he loves. At the same time, Beck has helped the careers of budding young vocalists, bass players, and other great, but unknown artists, make a name for themselves. In the whole scope of things, how wonderful is that? Pretty darn good in my humble opinion. By the way, any live recording of Jeff Beck and friends, including Live at the Hollywood Bowl, is sure to please your sensory transmitters!

The Bradleyss must be on CRACK! Fantastic CD! Jeff always plays with the best. There is no one like him on the planet! I wasn't looking to purchase this until I ran across it. I listened to all the bits and downloaded it. The guys singing the 3 Yardbirds songs nail them.

When you look at Jeff Beck's body of work, he has demonstrated an extraordinary ability to discover new talent, explore new music and trends and do it with quality. This compilation is a testament to his career. Covering everything from Yardbirds to Loud Hailer, the only gap is his work with Imelda May. This work will likely thrill Jeff Beck fans. I can't wait to view the concert video. A testament to a brillian career!
  • Gets my vote for most mismanaged career in Rock history

Jeff Beck hasn't worked with a decent vocalist since Rod Stewart was in the Jeff Beck Group more than 45 years ago. Is it really THAT hard to find someone who doesn't sound like they were plucked from a third-rate bar band to accompany that incredible guitar work? No. So it's clearly been a repeated, concious decision. And it's made every record that he's put out since the late 60s that includes vocals all but unlistenable. What a waste of what should have been a stellar career.
