I was watching Nashville and they played Emmylou during a scene. It was the best song of the night so I had to find out who sang it. I was surprised that such great lyrics and music (listen to the pedal guitar) came from two such young girls. i was shocked when I discovered they're from Sweden! These kids are the real deal.

I've seen the FAK girls play live 6 times now, twice in Denver, and 4 times in Chicago, and will be flying to Omaha this October to catch them again since they won't be in Denver for the later leg of their latest tour. They are STUNNING live; and sound exactly like their studio tracks. Collecting Scandinavian music led me onto the group; and I enjoy their love of Nashville tunes, even with their Swedish roots.

First Aid Kit makes me shiver with the beautiful string instrumental parts, and that dreamy hypnotizing voice - i'll never look at a first aid kit the same way again :) My favorites are King of the World (featuring Conor Oberst), Our Own Pretty Ways, and of course, Emmylou. I'm inspired ; hey you two - KEEP MAKING MUSIC!!!

Caught First Aid Kit up at Roskilde this year --- am a yank with some NC heritage, and I definitely had them slated for two girls from Omaha/Nashville until I looked them up and saw that they are Swedish… Origins aside, truly loved their music, beautiful harmonies, colourful lyrics and the right amount of steel guitar (Emmylou) to make you long for your cowboy boots/hat even in the middle of a field in Denmark. One of my absolute favourites of 2012, give it a listen, share it with a friend, you will hear more from these girls. Cheers. JP
