Cowboy Mouth is said to be the best live band around. This album captures the energy of their live show. The album is upbeat and joy to listen too. I love playing it while driving or working out.

The recorded music makes much more sense. Hearing a recording, even of a live show, doesn't come close to justice. I moved away from Louisiana in 1997 and the only thing I miss more than these guys at Tip's or Grant Street in Lafayette is a fried shrimp poboy from the Louisiana Seafood Exchange. Got to see them in Phoenix a couple years back and they played a show to maybe 100 people, I was sad that the crowd was going to be a little bit subdued but Fred showed why this band has come through all the hard times. They got a small crowd of unfamiliars going strong by the 3rd tune and never let up. This collection is a great start, but if you love live, buy a ticket.

If you've never seen Cowboy Mouth do yourself a favor next time they're in town and check them out. About the most fun you can have with your clothes on. And this disc really represents their live stuff well.

Cowboy Mouth is absolutely one of the best live acts in all of music, and this is their best live release. Can't discount any of their releases but this is one of their best. Buy the music, for sure, but better yet, see them live. It is an experience. And don't forget to take your red spoons.
