Bear McCreary has a load of talent and this series music is proof enough. "Roslin and Adama" just stops me in my tracks from whatever I'm doing because it's so beautiful. And to be honest, there are several songs that do just that to me in this whole series. A combination of action, suspense, emotion, drama, sadness, happiness, etc. not to mention the wide range of world music ... it's really very good.

Bear McCreary has written a complete masterpiece. The opus of this compilation is undoubtedly "Prelude to War". I look forward to hearing what he will accomplish in the years ahead with regard to Sci-Fi classical scores.
  • Incredible Mixture Of Styles

Who would've thought that such an incredible mixture of musical styles and influences could mesh together and become such a masterpiece? The tribal drums, the eastern sitar, the celtic pipes, the modern electric guitar and bass, the classical european orchestra all blend together seamlessly. Bear McCreary is a phenomenal composer with a fabulous crew of musicians. Colonial Album is a great modernization of the classic Battlestar Galactica theme from the 70's. Other hits include Allegro, Pegasus, Something Dark Is Coming, Scar, Prelude To War, Worthy Of Survival, and Black Market. Buy this frakkin soundtrack!!

Bear McCreary's work on the Battlestar Galactica soundtracks is nothing less than perfect. Being the best show ever to be aired on television, it deserved a soundtrack that would do it justice. Bear McCreary's score for Season 2 goes above and beyond that expactation. The music literally fuels the raw emotion, excitement, drama, and suspense of the show perfectly. The use of harmonious strings and percussions, the haunting themes and the booming tribal drums all add up to a television score unlike any other. Tracks like Worthy of Survival, Prelude to War, Black Market, Something Dark Is Coming, and Allegro compliment the theme of the episodes, and the series as a whole wonderfully. If you're a fan of BSG, this soundtrack is a must have! Once you start listening, you won't want to stop!
  • It's about frak'in time!!!

Some of the best music ever, for one of (if not THE) best television shows to ever air! Bear's score across all the seasons has been a joy to listen to, and it's great to see it has finally arrived on iTunes!
