The music for this entire series is fantastic. Blended with the beautiful scenery of Scotland, it enhances the quality of every scene. Beginning with the lovely and haunting boat song for the intro, each piece of music lends itself to the action portrayed onscreen.

This beautiful score showcases McCreary's ability to authentically capture the essence of the film. His use of modes adds to the color of the music, and his use of changing time signatures and rhythms is fascinating. What a pleasure it is to sit, listen and analyze the brilliance of this score.
