  • Horrible!

Worst KsE album they put out and on the path of demise as a band. Luckly Howard is out and Jesse is back and this band is brand new again selling out venues. Skip this record and go buy Disarm the Decent!

I am a die-hard Killswitch Engage fan, and 17 years old. I don't get why people are saying this album is lacking... I'll run through it. The album starts out with Never Again, a fast, energetic song that has been one of my favorites of the band for a while. Then Starting Over. I love Starting over, it's so passionate and has a great sound. The Forgotten is alright, Reckoning is pretty good; it has some really cool legato and tapping guitars. Then the Return, an amazing, moving song with a great sound similar to Starting Over. A Light In a Darkened World is pretty cool and uplifting; it's unique and I personally really enjoy it. Take Me Away is short but has a cool intro and pleasing chorus. Save Me is another one of my favorites, I promise you the chorus just sounds awesome. I Would Do Anything...now this is probably my favorite song on the album. It is powerful, deep and pure metal. Lost is a great song, it's sort of a melodic ballad. This Is Goodbye is arguably the hardest song on the album, and I find it cool how it was Howard's last song before he left the band. It's also ironic to me that his first was A Bid Farewell, an amazing song from The End Of Heartache. I have nothing negative to say about this album. Nice work Howard, Adam, Joel, Justin and Mike.

This album was very boring. Very recycled.

What in God's name happened? I never thought that this album would be such a disappointment. I mean, it's okay, but this just isn't like them at all. I really can't listen to this album that long. Unfortunately, Howard Jones ended up leaving, which is kind of a shame cause I really liked him. Luckily, Jesse Leach managed to come back after ten years. I'm so happy that he making a comeback. To be honest, I like Jesse better than Howard. I think that he has a better singing voice than Howard, but Howard is better at screaming. But for this album, there really isn't that much to say. It's okay, but not their best work.

This album is good, I liked Howard's singing and the darkness that was put into all the songs. Like Joel said, "It depends on who you ask" Everyone's going to have a different opinion and I personally love this album.

I only listened to As Daylight Dies and End of Heartache before I listened to this album. I was expecting good things from this one since I never heard it before but I was disappointed. I also listened to Jesse's works and didn't like them. I love this band because Howard does a great job, better than Jesse in my opinion. This album is not as good as Daylight and End of Heartache. I like most of the songs from Daylight Dies and Heartache (only a few I don't like), but here I only like two songs, I Would Do Anything and Never Again. Seeing that this is (I believe) their first full album with Howard as the singer, they had time to improve with the other two albums and they did. This album just doesn't live up to the KsE awesomeness as the other two albums. :/

Itunes has wrong release date for this album. It was released 6/30/09. Not one of their best but still decent from Howards vocals down to the guitar shreds

I just got into this band 2 years ago listening to there "As Daylight Dies" album and that was by far the most amazing album that could have ever been created!!! There was not one song I disliked and there the first band that i have liked every song on an album. I wouldnt go as far as to say that this album was disapointing but this album wasnt as good as the last one. There are a few good songs on this album such as "Save Me" and "Reckoning" but other than that, i know they didnt put in 100%. I really hope Howard keeps up the good work and Adam D keeps playing guitar like he has been! Overall, Its a good album but they can do better.
