I had never heard of Paolo Nutini until he performed Candy and the Ellen show, then I was hooked. Couldn't get Candy on my IPod fast enough! I really like this album and am not usually a folksy kind of music lover, but Candy reeled me in. Excellent, I highly recommend it.

I made the mistake of not listening to every track before buying this album. I went off my love for Paulo’s first album and was greatly disappointed in this one. I could not really find one song that grabbed me and could barely listen to most of them. What was he thinking? Perhaps too much time with Winehouse has altered his style, but whatever happened I hope he finds his way back to what made him popular in These Streets. Paulo, you took the sun out of sunshine with this effort.
Too much folk for me. :/

I feel this album is completely different from the last one. It's definitely more folk. I miss the acoustic, sultry, slow, easy listening, melodic elements that were very present in the previous album. These Streets had more of a singer/song-writer essence to it, and that's what I was hoping to get from this one. I still love Paolo no matter what he makes, but I prefer the first album over this one. :/
