Literally, I wish so many more people knew about this album. It is a little different, but like many others said after listening a few times it becomes absolutely amazing... fell in love with Coming Up Easy immediately and soon after ALL of the songs became my favorite, honestly. This album gives off the perfect vibe, not too slow, not way too upbeat, just a fantastic beautiful, catchy sound!

If you want an album that sounds the same as the previous...you have two choices....just continue listening to the first or buy jack Johnson albums, they all sound exactly the same. Thanks P-Lo!!! Keep it up brother!

I realize this CD is completely different from his first, but in some ways I love it for that. Not to say that I didn't love his first album, but this one shows a lot of growth as an artist. And in some ways I feel like this album is truer to artist than the first one was. The album -- to me -- just seems to delve deeper into Nutini as an artist. His voice was made for type of music. It definitely shines in the more folksy music. It's a very good album -- not better than the first, but equally as wonderful. Though if you were expecting more of the same... it might take you a while to get used to it.

i was ttly disappointed with this one. I LOVE the first one and this is SOOO different. I was so excited to see that he had a second cd but this disapointed me. I really dont like this one much. I hope he makes another like These Streets.

i agree with alot of you who say that this album is very different from his first one. at first, i didnt really like the album with the exception of a few songs, like candy and coming up easy. but please, give this album a few more listens, it really grows on you and now i love love love this album even more than his first one. my new favorite song is No Other Way. 10/10 and Pencil Full of Lead keep me dancing. so if you are a Paolo Nutini fan, and who wouldnt be, you need to get this album because it shows another side of Paolo and to be a fan, you need to know all of aspects of Paolo to truly love and understand him.

Absolutely brilliant! Was in love with the first album, but these song reach an entirely new level of sophistication. I am definitely not a fan of country or folk, but Paolo incorporates these elements into his style so seamlessly it adds something totally new to his music, and keeps it interesting. Yes, it does take some getting used to, but its worth it! Seriously! Best songs: Simple Things, Growing Up Beside you, Candy, Pencil Full of Lead, No Other Way, and HIgh Hopes.

This album illustrates how Paolo Nutini has matured as an artist. It is more complex and more substantial than his first album. The first album - while good in it's own aspects - bespeaks to Paolo as a young man. This album is indicative of his sophication as an artist. I really appreciate that his accent - his tru voice - was not digitally alter as it had been in the first album. I think this album is amazing. The folksy sounds, the complex melodies, and the lyrics are sure enough to blow you away.

Paolo and the band are simply fantastic. To be able to produce music with such a variety in tempo, texture and lyric is a sign of great talent. From the bass lines to the harmonica to the horns this band is setting a standard for my listening preferences. "High Hopes" is a great message for our time.

While I did like Paolo's first CD, I love this one. They are 2 different characters so you cannot judge this one against the last. I like "Sunny Side Up" because it is less pop. I like "Sunny Side Up" because it is more mature and has more character than his first CD. I downloaded it this morning and have listened to it all day.
