It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. This is music forged by some of our country’s growing pains. I love it!

After seeing Graham in Chicago and just finishing "Wild Tales," his autobiography, I had to add this to my iTunes collection, decades after I bought the vinyl disc in high school. I loved hearing these tunes in the context of reading Graham's book. The songs are powerful and the lyrics touching and compelling. Masterful songwriting and just plain beautiful tunes. Thank you Graham for sharing your great personal stories in the book, and for returning me to your solo work and your Crosby collaborations.

This is Graham’s 1st solo LP. Every song was really put together well Jerry Garcia played steel pedal on I used to be a King & Man in the Mirror. Graham had a great group musicians playing on this album. I f have not heard this or simply forgot all these wonderful songs please give it a play. You will thank me later. One of my all time favorite albums to listen to over & over

Amazing record. You may recognize "Simple Man" from the opening credits of the film "Reign On Me" . With all the new acts that sound like old acts - it's great to see iTunes recognizing a true original. This record is almost 40 years old and it holds up to today's most talented songwriters.
