Stop Making Sense (Live) [Special New Edition]

it doesnt get better than this

I've seen reviews that complain about the Special New Edition. I own the original vinyl and the SNE Cd. I truly think this version is superior. There's nothing wrong with the original, but in my opinion this is the one to get.

Although I still love this album; the songs have been dramatically cut and are about half as long as they are in the movie. It's still good but wasn't what I thought it would be. Entire verses have been cut from a lot of the songs. Pretty disappointed.

Talking Heads was my very first concert that was 30+ years ago. I was hooked from the first time I saw them. Still have my original cassette Its so worn out you cant even read the words on the cassette its still in original case with the cover. I guess that would make it an Heirloom. I still listen to it. Talking Heads stop Making Sense I love love love it. Its my number 1 Favorite, So I'm finally breaking down and getting it on my iPhone. Its a must have if you have a eclectic music collection I highly recommend some Talking Heads for your collection.

A must for every Talking Heads fan. Broke this vinyl out after 25 yrs & positively Love their energy & tunes.

It's different from the album and video (VHS😄) released originally because it's the same song lineup which appears in the movie, "Stop Making Sense". That lineup included 2 extra songs, "I Zimbra" & I'm not going to dig out the video cassette or album to find out what the other song is. Sorry. I only know this is true because I was a motion picture operator in a repertory theatre, back in the day, and SMS came through frequently after it left first run houses. Being a fan, I noticed the difference between the record and movie as soon as I heard the record's lineup. Anyway, there are doubtless other details on which one could argue differences between this recording and the first album released and the movie. But the "missing" songs could distress some people more than others. Still, one cannot argue with this being a very good album, and video. The concerts which spawned both will only be seen in this medium now.

A+ 10/10 2 thumbs up for whole album

Although this album sounds good, it doesn't come close to the original release. Psycho Killer just doesn't sound right on this album. If you've heard it on the original release, you know I mean. Hope they make the original version available. I just can't buy this one.
