This was his 1st solo record after Willie Rosario let him go from his band. I started listening to Gilberto on his 2nd solo record "Keeping Cool". Since then I have been a fan. His early music has such a great sound. Coros by Jerry Rivas, Tony Vega and Alex D'Castro. Mario Ortiz was the musical director here. You can definitely hear his influence.
