What can I say about this soundtrack that hasn't already been said? I'm at a loss for words here. Goosebumps every time I listen to this soundtrack. Especially "Farewell Charlotte" and "Wilbur's Homecoming". Sarah's "Ordinary Miracle" is a beautiful song. If I had a list of five of the Danny Elfman's greatest soundtracks I enjoy, Charlotte's Web would be three of them.

Obviously, this song was good enough for a movie soundtrack and for the opening ceremonies for the Olympics 2010 in Vancouver.

The "album only" iTunes exclusives seem a poor marketing plan. People who are really serious about purchasing film scores are not going to download them because tracks often blend into one another. We're much more likely to buy the cd. I can't imagine that score sales are that high that iTunes is getting a big boost by offering those tracks only if you purchase the entire album. It's more like you're punishing the people who would be most interested in getting those tracks by insisting they download an album they've already bought.
  • Movie Score and Sarah McLachlan Fans Only

Like someone else mentioned, the entire album is only going to be endearing if you're a fan of movie scores in general or like to relive the movie over and over again via the score. "Ordinary Miracle" by Sarah McLachlan is a song that you could listen to over and over and really never tire of it--it's that good. The structure of the melody, the vocals, the lyrics all combine to make it one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long long time. Bottom line, if you're a fan of score music, download the whole album, if you're a fan of Sarah McLachlan, download her track. You won't be disappointed either way.

This album is a LOT different than most of the Danny Elfman works I usually listen to. Not better or worse, just different. It's all so upbeat! Anyway, I still think its amazing and sweet... But I'm really sad that they used "Ordinary Miracle" for one of those dumb perscription commercials on television. What is the world coming to?? The song that used to give me a little "ordinary miracle" in an otherwise boring day is now being used as a commercial jingle. UGH.
