You can really feel the good vibes here. Music really flows and comes together. Still innovative ! Great stuff!!

Is this even Boyd?! Incubus has lost its identity to the point that the ancient myth is what google gives you. Sad that so long ago, I was in a cover band, teaching my band mates the “not so easy” songs of later day Incubus. This is teenage girl bate and not what I expected from “once” one of the most original bands of all time.

What I love most about this newest EP from Incubus is that it is everything 8 was not. Innovating, smooth, concise, well produced, and most of all, VERY Incubus. It’s curious and adventurous, and the boys are making GREAT use of the sounds they’re playing with here. Riffs actually build, and there are elements of surprise. Karma, Come Back is probably my favorite new song in that it captures Incubus as their most mature, and is the best and most in depth expression of what they were trying to accomplish on If Not Now, When. The verse is smooth, and in typical Incubus fashion, they shred the funk apart with a solid riff during the chorus. Also, they FINALLY figured out how to make a good bridge again, and I can’t tell you what a relief that has been. I don’t know why, but this band got into the seriously bad habit of tripping up their songs with bridges that were out of nowhere... but on every song here, twists are always teased, then they explode in your face. These songs are very, very well structured, and it’s the best collection of music they’ve had in a long time. I’ve loved this band for quite some time, and it’s so great that in a time of such strife, the boys are coming back with a handful of really, really good tunes.

Way too many negative people on here. Yes, I love their early stuff but if you were ever a fan, it shouldn’t be a huge effort to at least be ‘ok’ with this ep. The songs are pretty alright, plus it’s better than side A, in my opinion. Keep an open mind and be positive 🙂

It's been a pretty steady and obvious decline for one of my favorite bands, but it is now clear that old age has caught up with them and they have nothing interesting left musically. Ever since some of the drab songs on If Not Now, When, which sounds like Dark Side Of The Moon compared to this, we've been watching the soft pop siren calling and it is now apparent they have answered. I liked On Without Me, but I have no desire to listen to anything else on here. And I hate it when Incubus fans tell other Incubus fans that "real Incubus fans" will like whatever they put out. I had a friend who liked Rush who used to pull that. When a group loses all that made it special they get old, and Incubus has obviously reached that point. It happens to all of them; Prince, Paul McCartney, Pearl Jam, Rush! Father time is undefeated and that goes for musician's too. It's been good, guys. Enjoy your retirement.

But I havent been crazy about an Incubus album since Crow. With that said, I take them for what they are now: Different. And that's ok. I can find some good stuff within their new direction. Into the Summer has a cool 80's pop sound. But there doens't seem to be much passion/energy left, they only seem interested in experimenting...I dont know. Sadly, they have been falling on my favorites list for years now.
