As another reviewer noted, this was one of the better and more contemporary sounding releases from Diana’s RCA period. Diana used outside producers for most of it (Gary Katz and Ray Parker Jr), and the production and Diana’s voice sound strong. The material is good, but I think it lacks a knockout single. My favorites are “That’s How You Start Over”, “Let’s Go Up”, and “Love Or Loneliness”. The only weak track is the last one “Girls”.

Actually a great player from beginning to end. Very clean sound,,,the digital remastering is top of the line! They didn't overkill the volume like some reissues. The tracks for this album were digitally recorded from the get go...first issue CD had great sound the CD reissue is audio artwork,,,but having pure digital masters made that easier for sure and you can hear it! Enjoy!

Diana toured with Pieces of Ice and highlight of her famed Concert in Central Park era. I prized my 12" vinyl and cut-out album with its crackle and pop. How exciting to now have the Remastered version with multiple 12" singles. Pieces of Ice is her hypnotic best. Cover Art Supreme!

This album has always been a little bit of a mystery to me. It’s actually one of the strongest of Diana’s 80’s RCA albums — a nice update of her Motown sound for the mid-80’s. That said it wasn’t successful at the time, and until now it’s not been available digitally. This is a great reissue. The music sounds great (though some of it is a little dated with 80’s synthesizers), and it’s nice to have the additional tracks. A must have for Diana Ross fans.
