First, jettison the RCA greatest hits cd because it doesn’t contain all the hits, the songs on that cd are single edits, and the mastering is dreadful. Now, go to each RCA expanded album and purchase the hits in the full length, some are extended versions, and marvel at the sound quality of each reissue. I purchased Diana’s entire RCA catalog from the reissue label because I kept checking iTunes for them and lo, here they are after my purchase. No matter, while there are moments during Diana’s RCA tenure that weren’t exactly her best, there are moments of absolute brilliance.
