Reviews

  • Excellent Mix

I was almost disuaded by some of the previous reviews into not buying this album, but, as always, Gareth Emery's capacity for mind-numbing synth amazes me. I do agree with the above poster that it is not exactly like his podcast, however I believe that it is right up there with many of the reworks and solo works that he has done. One of my new favorite mix CDs. I do not regret the purchase at all.
  • not bad actually...

Arcane, Mikka Sircelli, Behind Silence, and Flood Control are worth the buy... They took me too another place... The rest just don't do it (No Inspiration) They Suck in my opinion... Buy what sounds appealing to your ears but the WHOLE album is a waste! What amazez me is the quality of synth and sounds however...!
  • Great DJ and artist, but this mix is not his best

If you listen to the podcast like I do, and thought this would be better, you will be disappointed. GTR is my favourite DJ, but this mix didn't impress me like his own tracks, and amazing remixes always do. The GTR podcasts are better, and that's why I took the time to write this.
  • Disappointing

I was very disappointed with this album. It is repetitive and uninspiring. The first few songs do manage to hold your interest for a few minutes, but only briefly. I found myself pressing the skip button a couple of minutes into each song. I feel I was mislead to by the previous review, which must have been posted by a bias reviewer. I don’t recommend this album, unless you’re looking for good elevator music.
  • TAKE A JOURNEY

Now this is what TRANCE should be. An audible journey that takes a listener to another dimension without sounding too repetitious or having over use of that high tinny symbol sound one hears in outdated tired recycled trance creations. (can you tell I'm tired of that?) This has fantastic high energy with build-ups and a variations of vocals. Rare to find an album that is fantastic from beginning to end. Hopefully there will be many Volumes to follow. A-Force Feat is worth getting alone for the overlays of brilliant vocals. How can one go wrong with getting 15 solid high energy tracks? This is well worth the price.
