Don't get me wrong, Sammy is one of my all time favorite country artists ever. But this album was a let down. The vocals weren't that great. Especially "she Don't Know She's Beautiful". that song in particular was horrible. The originals were far better. And he's already got one "Hits" album with the same songs on it. What gives? Sorry Sammy but this album gets only 2 stars. You can do better
Re-Recorded Versions of the songs. Not the originals....RUN!

This is another shameful artist attempt to collect money off un-suspecting fans. I personally hate it when artists rerecord songs that were originally hits. They do not sound the same. Not the way you know the songs. It's almost like a new artist sang it. This is crap-ola. Love Sammy Kershaw. Hate new versions of old songs, unless there is something dramatically different. If Sammy would bring out new music that sounded well produced I would buy it. His George Jones tribute song was awesome but sounded underproduced. All in the Same Boat was awful. One song and he could turn things around. Come back buddy!

I have the "originals" and they sound way better. Love Sammy but this just doesnt work for me. 3 stars not for the content but the sound.

First things first, I love Sammy Kershaw's music. I saw him at a count fair when I was a teenager and he was terrific.
That said, I don't understand this albumn. He already has a "Chapter. 1" hits albumn with great songs and the one I have owned for nearly 10 years, The Definitive Collection. The latter has ALL his hits except for one or two newer and less known songs, and for only two dollars more. I just don't know what this albumn accomplishes that previous albumns don't.
The songs are great, that's established. There are better collections of his out there, though. By all means, support a great artist. Let's hope all this 'Volume One' collection means is he's planning to put out enough music in the future for Volume Two.
