  • Only one good song...

…and that's "One Fine Thing." Simple melody, clichéd lyrics, yet it's sensual and heart-wrenchingly beautiful. The other songs (with the exception of "Let Me Stay," which nonetheless has its flaws) are too wimpy, folky, antiquated, or comically bluesy. Just…no, Harry.

This album is unique and stands apart from his others. It shows his southern roots and merges it into his jazzy, R&B sound. This guy is pure entertainment. Well done, Harry!

I've been a Harry fan for 20 years or so, have every album, have seen him live in concert 7 times, and even got to meet him once. He IS the real deal. When I think he can't get any better, he does. Like a fine wine, Harry gets even better with age. And if you like fine wine or just a cold beer, you will like this album. My favorites on this album are "One Fine Thing" and "Being Alone".

Like She and Star Turtle before, this is Harry exploring other musical styles and for the most part its a good album. A couple of the songs push his voice and don’t sound great, but some are totally amazing like "The Greatest Love Story” which just grabs you and won’t let go.
  • Baby Boomer crap.

What happened to the awesomeness that was Harry Connick? Why this constant supply of music to baby boomers? You know there are still a lot of GenXers who loved your "To See You" album, your "Come by Me"CD and EVERYTHING prior to that. Since then, it seems you have drifted into Baby Boomer/Americana boring and untight beats land. Where did the coolness go? It's like watching a bad Nora Ephron movie with a house supplied by Pottery Barn and wardrobe by Chico's. Come BACK!

Kinda disappointed in this Album. I was hoping he would keep the New Orleans vib. The lyrics are just terrible on "Every Man Should Know". I'll pass on this one.
