For years I have wondered why Kenny Wayne Shepherd can't make it over the top. I have everything the guy has recorded and his earliest music is as current as if was written today. Oh Pretty Woman, Anywhere the Wind Blows, the Dark Side of Love, I could go on and on....I have yet heard a song I didn't like.

A real musical treat for the ears. I saw the KWS band last week and can't get the songs out of my head. The band was tight and you could really teel how much they enjoyed playing for the crowd. Back water blues, Yer blues what terrific jobs. Kenny has a true appreciation for those that came before him and for that he is worth his weight in gold and much more.

I had the radio on and this song came on. It caught my attention because I recognized Noah's voice! So excited to have him singing on this album! When I became a fan 11 years ago it was Kenny's guitar playing and Noah's singing that reeled me in!

KWS gets better with every CD. I agree with Ryan that he set the bar on Ledbetter Heights. But unlike Ryan, I think he has grown and matured and it shows in his music. He still writes the songs that blow me out of the water with Mark & Tia. I have been, in my humble opinion, his biggest fan ever. From the opening rifts of Ledbetter Heights to the closing notes of How I Go, this young man is one of a kind. I am a lifetime fan club member & have met him several times. He has always been gracious and kind to his fans, me being an old woman & all. I always request "While We Cry", as I do cry when I hear it. Keep on KW, you make me proud.
  • Noah Hunt....

While I like KWS, Noah Hunt is a hack his voice is not even made for blues, also he is not even in the same league with KWS. And another point, while seeing them live playing with Double Trouble during the closing song which was Voodoo Chile, Mr Hunt forgot the lyrics, threw down the mic and stormed offstage. So in summary KWS is cool and Noah Hunt Can lick one.
  • Simply Outstanding

After following KWS through his musical career, this is the "right album, right now." Great return to the blues, without turning completely against the rock angle he took with his last studio. Old KWS fans will not be forsaken - any new ones will enjoy as well. One word of advice - pay the few bucks extra for the limited/special edition with 4 extra tracks. WELL WELL worth it.
