    I don't share the same opinion as Boolez, but we're all entitled to our own opinions. I always fine that you can learn more about the composer and the music itself by hearing by different artists. This CD would make a fine addition to a hobbyist or professional's music library. Wonderful interpretation by Perahia, exactly how Bach would have had it sound! Buy to TODAY it's worth the fifty cents a song you would be paying:)

    Perahia is a great pianist but this installment of Bach is rather flat and pedestrian. His tone is just beautiful but there is something missing in his playing. He seems to be just playing the notes as they come with little regard to the music. That's sad becasue his previous Bach efforts were fairly good all things considered. If you have this set of partitias already there is no need to get this and if this is your first encounter, just pass over this for now. -Bz
