I grew up in the 80's and it was the time of MTV and all those videos..
I am Deaf, ( since birth ) however my sister used to Sign all the Romantic songs and among other bands..
Talking in your sleep was perfect,, the beats in which I could feel and the words were simply said,.
They were funny looking but they can play...
Enjoyed them then and enjoy them now..

I have listened to The Romantics since they first formed the band in the 70's . My older brother Rodney was a member of their road crew. He told me many stories about traveling with the band. I am glad that their music is still alive today. As a matter of fact I heard a butchered version of one of their songs tonight when ABC showed Shrek 2. lol

The Romantics carried the torch in the 80's for what Detroit rock was all about. And while they are only really known nationally for What I Like About You and Talking In Your Sleep, their guitar sound is still often imitated but never duplicated.
