I personally love this song. It sounds great and it's a new sound that everyone can listen too. Way to go Robert Randolph!
  • Lame Studio Version of a Good Live Song

I first heard this song live on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live Concert Series" and REALLY liked it a lot. But this studio version of the song is a pale, pale imitation. Bland and boring, overproduced, totally de-funkified. What a disappointment. I wish they had a live version I could buy.

Actually, I saw the video clip of this song at the beginning of the Ohio State/Texas matchup on ABC this weekend. The song really kicked. It's got a soulful beat - a little old school. Great tune.

Robert Randolph is amazing live, thats what everyone has to realize, they put so much energy into their playing. One of the best shows i have ever seen. I saw them at All Good Festival 10 and they rocked the house like no other band there. They are definitly a live band, not as much of a studio band, you have to remember that certain groups find their grooves in one of those two places and some are better than others. but robert randolph definitly knows how to put on a good show.
  • Sort of an outsider's prospective...

When comparing the old sound vs. the sound of this new single, I can see why fans would be angry and immediately want to rip them, especially if they really loved the old sound. On the other hand, the first thing that I thought of when listening to single was Red Hot Chili Peppers. And how can you go wrong with a sound like that?
  • Weak Single

This is one of the worst songs I've heard from RRFB, but the four-song preview of their upcoming album gives me hope. The other three songs on that preview are MUCH better. They're catchy, still heavily produced but with more of the band's soul and more of Robert's pedal steel guitar. I think the album is going to have more of a hip hop feel, but I'm down with that as long as the music and lyrics are still great.
  • Luv RR & TFB, but the single is no good...

Riffs sound great, but something about the single sounds way to rushed and polished. Just not digging it at all. Wrong single to use to push the album. Still love RR & TFB just want to hear the rest of the album.

It will grow on you. Remember...this is only one song done for the record company's happiness and for Radio Play... and like Clapton, its a hook to get you to go see him live.... I gotta think this song ROCKS when RR does it live.

This song rocks. Anyone who says otherwise is just afraid of change. RRFB are some of the most talented musicians out there and I can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
