9 albums in and Norma Jean is continuing to push the boundaries of heavy music. All Hail is an all time great record in the Jean’s catalog. Not saying this record is better, however I think this record flows much better than All Hail. It really takes you on a ride from punishingly heavy, sludgy riffage, to spacey, atmospheric jams. Deathrattle truly is a fantastic record and a welcome addition to an already stellar catalog. Long Live the Almighty Norma Jean!

Different from All Hail - a string play through. Whatever these bois are doing nowadays is working.

These guys never cease to amaze me with their evolution of sound, while never neglecting their brain bashing heaviness. Corey Brandan is the man.

These guys continue to impress. Bringing the brutality, groove and ferocious choruses with every new album. The song writing is expanding as well. Come for the riffs, stay for the breakdowns.

This is easily Norma Jeans most experimental and expectation subverting album to date. Instead of simply being epic and huge like All Hail, this album excels in throwing surprises out of left field that you don’t see coming and is exciting in a completely different way. I absolutely love this album. It is crazy from start to finish.

This is one of those bands that never disappoints me. They mix like 10 genres up in a giant blender then release it upon the world. Can’t wait for the new release. Except job guys.
