wow what an opening album to release! at the time of punk hitting our shores from the 2nd english invasion we have this masterpiece. we had so many releases this summer of 77 with Joe Jackson, Ian Drury and The Blockheads... but this stands out for its lyrical content and musical brilliance. nailed the feeling across the USA only to have himmake that stupid racist remark at the time while in a bar on tour which took him years to explain/apoligize for (it was towards Ray Charles btw) anyhow Elvis Costello continued to stake his claim with album after album and his longevity proves it. shame todays generation just doesn't get it concerning so much music of the mid/late 70's that was just fantastic... "Im waiting for the end of the world... with my "cassenettes" which that line in itself was funny as some tried to hold onto 8 track and quads...

How can there be no reviews??? Folks this album was fundimental in the development of punk. Elvis himself redeveloped his style. And the world is a better place... This album is a must for everyone really. It changed my life, should affect you too.
