Joe Walsh is known for his manic and crazy behavior and music, this is one of the reasons why people love him, me included. However this album and his most of his early work show a more mellow side of his songs which can more than complete with some of his more well known songs. To make a long story short: Joe Walsh rocks.

One of my all time favorite albums! This is a Joe I didn’t know existed. He’d always been raucous and rowdy. This is the kind of album you could sit by the fireplace with your love and a bottle of wine, and enjoy some soothing, breezy, and sometimes mysterious tunes. And then there’s Rocky Mountain Way, which is a little more of the Joe we know, but still not manic. One night in 1973, the album title suddenly made sense to me and I explained it in great detail to my friends, who also understood it. Lord knows what we were on, cause I can’t figure it out now.
