Dustin is a great addition to the group. His voice adds a welcome new sound as the guys regroup and continue to share the gospel of Christ with the world!
  • Dennis is a great addition; grateful for U guys

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis and the guys Sanctus of Sanctus Real on a FamilyLife LLYMI marriage cruise this past February. We just happened to get to hang out with them in the ship's piano bar, and they are all so multi talented and humble. That night around the piano was the best night of the cruise and as a musician myself, I think Dennis has a stellar voice and the blending that these guys have discovered so quickly is rather fantastic and God-honoring. These first three tracks are stellar! To God be the glory.
  • What Is This?!

You cannot maintain the same legacy with this stupidly overproduced, mainstream folk-pop work. C’mon! But somehow this garbage is going to sell no-doubt. Do you guys realize how inauthentic you are in doing this? Or that you’ve been manufacturing pop-infused junk since 2012? The fact is that you guys were musically amazing, and will definitely be remembered as one of the greats. But don’t cap things off like this! If you can’t be yourselves at your craft, than what is your witness anyway? All things considered (and out of admiration for what you have decided to NOT produce anymore), just stop right now, please! Because this is not a legacy to be remembered.
  • At least they didn't pull an Audio Adrenaline

Or as I like to call them, a Stellar Kart reboot. When Audio A first disbanded, they left a legacy with songs like "Big House" and "Hands and Feet" as well as many others, and when they returned with Kevin Max on vocals they made a new legacy with their album "Kings and Queens" as well as maintaining their style of writing. With the departure of Kevin and Will it became a clean slate, and not saying the new Audio A is bad, but they should have changed the name. With the departure of Matt from Sanctus Real, they only lost one original member, so to me they are still Sanctus Real.
  • Stellar...love it!! So anointed.

I've followed Sanctus Real since before they got signed. I'm a HUGE fan and LOVE this album. I find myself closing my eyes and just soaking in the presence of God. So powerful...so anointed. If you're having a rough day, just listen to this album with your eyes closed and suddenly your focus will shift from whatever is going on in your life to being in awe of God and the power He has over that problem. Wow! What a great trio of songs!
  • Just call it something else...

… cuz this ain’t Sanctus Real. Not trying to be a hater, just being honest. I was first attracted to SR because they were unique in a landscape of “sameness.” Christian music was largely this bland, sleepy, adult contemporary radio-ready formula. Then along comes “Fight The Tide” and hope is renewed. But even album since then has gotten progressively more like the rest of Christian radio pop until this is finally the last nail in the coffin for what was once a great band. I’m as big a Sanctus Real fab as anybody, so understand it pains me to say this: If this is what you wanna do, more power to ya. But just don’t call it Sanctus Real.
  • What's the point?

Sanctus Real was my favorite band, but I didn't even bother to buy their last album because I found it extremely boring and utterly forgettable. It seems they are going to continue down that musical path, however, this new singer's voice suits the slower musical style better--they sound a little like Coldplay now or, if you prefer, in the vein of Phil Wickham, The Afters, and/ or Tenth Avenue North. That's the problem though, what made Sanctus Real Sanctus Real for me is long gone and Matt Hammitt leaving just kind of makes it official. I understand them keeping the name, even just for practical reasons, but this is not the band I used to know. I wish I would have gotten to see them in concert before Hammitt left. With all of that said, this new incarnation of my favorite band is far from terrible. Again, the new singer adds some flavor--something compelling to the ear--within the musical style that keeps it from being boring like "The Dream". I also found their music lacking any real lyrical fun, hooks, or thematic depth since "Run". One possible upside to Hammitt's departure--the "Lead Me's" and other family/ marriage focused tunes may leave with him; considering the work he does now, it is obvious that mostly he was the one taking the band in that direction.

I love this EP. This is a different direction for a band looking to create a new identity. Critics need to accept this as a new effort and stop comparing this to the Matt Hammitt version. This is a whole new and more mature sound for theses guys. The lyrics are more poetic and expressive and I can't believe they put this out so quickly after just releasing their new singer. I really appreciate how they want to invite their fans into this new journey. I am excited for them and their new journey as a band. Don't hate because you can't let go of the past. Move on and enjoy what's coming out. These lyrics and melodies are fresh and deeper than previous releases and the music has more of a mainstream sound without the boundaries created by the Christian music industry.
