Monica is such a humbled and kind spirited woman, through her music she shares her life with her fans. I love the whole cd, Missy Elliott and Laiyah were awesome on CodeRed, I bought the CD on Dec 18, I turned my Sirius satellite on for the first time yesterday Dec 29 and that was only to renew it. Her CD stays on in my car. Met Monica at bogarts in Cincinnati on Dec4th she is a jewel to the music world!! Continue to be Blessed.. CODERED MONICA!!

I was highly anticipating Monica’s new album mainly because I have always enjoyed her music, but also because of her claim that the album was created to revive R&B. This is not R&B. Honestly, after the first 5 songs, I could not distinguish the tracks from an hip-hop album. When I told my daughter that I wanted this album for Christmas, she said, “Mama, we were listening to it at the beauty shop and everyone thought it was terrible.” I said, “Well, that’s because you come from a different generation. I grew up on Monica.” Well she was right. My friends and I all agreed there wasn’t a single song that we liked, not a single one. The choice of songs were horrible. There was no baby making/cuddled up love songs. My children got me this album for Christmas and I plan to take it to Vintage Stock and trade it for something different.

I got both the clean and explict version. I love this album. People seem to have a lot of complaints, but I feel like it's a solid R&B album. She says she pushed it back to reach fans and tour, but that was a mistake. If the music was ready months ago she should had released it with Just Right for me had some steam, not months later during the holiday season smh. I love Monica, but realistically if she is going to continue in music there has to be some change. No more pushed back albums. More promotion. Videos released on time. Perhaps a reality show again.
