While I absolutely adore Ms. Heap, I agree with other sentiments about the video falling short of expectations from this stellar artist. Her new album rocks, but this video left much to be desired. On a more superficial note (detail-oriented stylist's perspective), her fashion and personal styling for this video is killer.

I LOVE this song and can't wait for Ellipse to drop!! This video does a pretty good job, but I think it should've been more fun. Really like the effects though - really nice :D

I was expecting so much more for this video. The song is warm, comforting, soothing, inspiring, full of movement. And only one aspect was captured in this dull, gray-schemed video. It seems kind of bland and incomplete. I wish there had been some warmth and fun to the video. Overall, I ADORE the song. I think Immi is a musical genius. The music video... not so much. But that's just me. I love my Immi! :D

First and foremost, this video sounds & looks great on your iPhone/ iPod Touch. FIRST TRAIN HOME is a lush & layered organic electronic pop song. The lyrics at first sound obscure and abstract, but on closer listen are clever fresh wordplay to avoid the cliches. (See if you can tell which line means she wants to slap someone annoying her or what line means she wants to pick up the LP records and smash them on the floor). The video plays off the emotion of being trapped somewhere you dont want to be and wanting to escape. With her wild hairdo and retro vibe, this has echos of the best of the opulent 80s music videos from Eurythmics & Annie Lennox. (Also, hopefully Tim Burton takes a peek at this and will call on Ms Heap to add a song to his upcoming ALICE IN WONDERLAND movie.) Very much worth the purchase!
