D Grissom is one great player. If you are looking to hear more( especially if you are a fan of Storyville and you realize D Grissom can really play ), check out “Loud Music). Much better set of songs and a better “set list” Just saying .....

Was hoping for more originality. Enjoyed his prior albums. This is just derivative .
  • Best Yet

All of David’s releases have been great but this is his best yet. The songwriting feels personal throughout and there is a broad spectrum of material. It’s nice to hear David sing on almost every track especially since his voice has never sounded better and the songs are so strong. Of course the guitar work is unbelievable throughout, as usual, but it’s the band as a whole that carries things. This is a well oiled machine of a band that proves itself on the live tracks. If you want smoking guitar work just check out the covers of Jessica and Nasty Dogs. Totally insane playing. This is not a release to cherry pick, this is an album to play from front to back.

OK, I am just assuming you're familiar with Mr. Grissom's previous works. Along with his stellar backing band, he always seems to mix great guitar riffs with catchy melodies and just plain old good songwriting. The tracks on this offering are probably the most accessible yet. But there is still plenty in here for guitar nerds (check out Way Jose). The live tracks are an even nicer bonus! I have been lucky enough to see him perform in all sorts of musical situations, and David Grissom always delivers the goods. Add this to the list.

David and band delivers. Full bore from Sleazy ZZ to The Brothers...masterfully done!
